I have been practicing as a therapist in Bath and Bradford on Avon for 7 years, and I have previously worked as an educational psychologist.
I gained my MSc in Educational Psychology at Manchester University in 1978. I worked as a psychologist for 18 years, then I completed a postgraduate diploma course in Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2000.
I follow a comprehensive Code of Ethics and Practice and in 2001 I was accepted as a registered member by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, the main register for psychotherapists in the UK.
Having experienced chronic back pain, I have developed a particular interest in approaches to pain management. I am also interested in the links between therapy and Buddhist practice.
Throughout my professional life I have studied the new approaches developed by American psychotherapists aimed at bringing about change very quickly.
I am a member of the following organisations:
United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy
National Register for Hypnotherapists & Psychhotherapists
